How do I know if what my lawyer did was legal malpractice?

Return to Videos

Transcript:

It’s actually impossible to know for sure that your lawyer committed malpractice unless you consult another attorney. Often you have a feeling or an indication that the lawyer did not represent you properly, and that’s what causes you to contact an attorney who handles legal malpractice cases. However, in order to know whether or not malpractice actually occurred, the lawyer you hire needs to hire an expert witness to have all the facts and circumstances reviewed and receive an opinion as to whether or not there was legal malpractice.
