How long will my Rhode Island brain injury case take?

Return to Videos

Transcript:

Brain injury cases take longer to settle or resolve than typical personal injury cases. There are a number of reasons for that.

First of all, the nature of the injury is one that does not resolve quickly. It takes a long time for the person to either recover or reach maximum medical improvement. Second of all, the insurance companies know that in order to settle a brain injury case, they must pay probably more money than they are willing to normally pay on an injury case, so they will not pay a lot of money until they’ve been taken all the way, probably, close to a trial.
