What are some examples of attorney malpractice?

Return to Videos

Transcript:

Very often attorney malpractice involves the failure to file something on time. Often that is a person’s lawsuit, their rights to receive compensation. There are time deadlines for filing those kinds of things, and those are called statutes of limitations. When an attorney doesn’t file a case within the statute of limitations, it is lost and lost forever. There are also times when an attorney is representing a client in a case and doesn’t file an important document with the court. In that circumstance, sometimes the case is also lost.
