Should I provide statements to my insurance company and the insurance company of the driver who hit me?

Transcript:

When an insurance company asks you for a statement, it’s important for you to identify which insurance company it is. If it is the insurance company that represents you, you have a contractual obligation under your insurance policy to provide a statement. That having been said, it is best if you hire an attorney and have the attorney be with you when you’re providing the statement. If the statement is being requested by the insurance company for the other driver, you do not have an obligation to provide a statement.
